If you’re looking to get out and try something new this spring, you’re in luck. There are plenty of things going on in Lubbock, TX.
On April 1 and April 6, the Texas Tech University School of Theatre and Dance Presents RROAPS/RRADS, a show featuring choreography and one-act plays by the students themselves. Tickets are free for students and $5 for everyone else.
Josh Abbott Band & Mike Ryan
Lubbock’s own Josh Abbott performs live Texas country music with special opener Mike Ryan. The show is presented by the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation and takes place on April 6 at the United Supermarkets Arena.
The Miss Firecracker Contest
Lubbock Community Theatre presents The Miss Firecracker Contest, a southern literature play set in Mississippi. Performances run March 29-31, April 5-7, and April 12-14.
If you’re a fan of wine, you won’t want to miss this event. Lubbock Uncorked highlights the wine culture in the local area, following the process from grape growing to wine making. Come taste an array of Texas wine, enjoy live music, and dine on tasty treats. Lubbock Uncorked takes place on April 12 at the American Windmill Museum.
