There's still plenty of summer left, and that means plenty of time to venture outdoors, attend summer community events, or take a trip somewhere near or far. As summer changes to fall, there will be further opportunities to attend local community events and festivals. Lubbock, Texas offers plenty of family-friendly events and activities that everyone can enjoy. Here are some upcoming community events that we recommend.
ArtRide LBK: On the first Saturday of every month, you can take a 2.5-mile bike ride with the family that makes stop at Art Trail venues in Lubbock's Downtown and Depot district. If you'd like, you can continue on for a 7-mile ride that includes more art stops.
10th Annual "Vamos a Pescar, Let's Go Fishing": This family-oriented event is meant to bring families together through fishing. It takes place August 11th from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., allowing you to spend a day out on the water.
National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration: This annual symposium takes place from September 7th to 11th and celebrates the American West. It features fun events like a Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, a horse parade, and hundreds of performers to entertain the whole family.
JAB Fest: Head to the Lonestar Amphitheater this October 5th-6th to enjoy this spectacular Americana music festival.
