Hub City Comic Con – Sept. 15–17
The Hub City Comic Con has something for everyone. Over the course of one weekend at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, you can dress up as your favorite character from movies, television shows, or comic books as well as meet some cool guests and vendors.
Friends of the Library – Sept. 22–25
Need some new reads for fall? Check out the Friends of the Library book sale that runs over four days at Lubbock Mahon Library. Here, you can buy new reads while knowing that your money will go toward Lubbock Public Libraries.
Pumpkin Patch Car Show – Oct. 21
If you’re a car-lover, check out the Pumpkin Patch Car Show, which runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Here, you can see the coolest cars in the community or even enter your own car for a prize (and bragging rights).
2nd Annual Veteran’s Parade – Nov. 11
If you want a way to honor veterans on Veteran’s Day, you can celebrate by attending the 2nd Annual Veteran’s Parade. Though this parade just got started last year, there’s plenty to enjoy about it. There are marching bands, floats, and plenty of community spirit.
